By recommendation of the Academic Council of the Moscow International Higher Business School MIRBIS and with support of the Chinese side the project of setting-up the Chinese Teaching and Research Center in MIRBIS was developed in May 2003. The Middlesex University (UK) where similar Center had been successfully working for 8 years supporting business education of all levels also took part in this process.

 

On September 16, 2004 the Center was inaugurated in the presence of officials from the Embassy of China in Russia, mass media people and representatives of business community of Russia and China, the faculty and academics. Work of the Center is targeted at joint business and educational programs, research, meetings and direct contacts between business and educational structures in China and Russia. The Center also aims at arrangement of scientific and academic seminars, conferences, business trips, trainings and specialized training sessions for Russia and Chinese organizations and entrepreneurs.

 

The Center arranges trainings in China and other countries of South-East Asia.

 

The Chinese language is in fashion now. Fast growing China attracts attention of international companies and economists who know Chinese are today in demand on labour market. Salaries of ordinary employees very from 3,000 to 5,000 USD a month. Therefore the Chinese Teaching and Research Center named after Suy Tzhimin has developed a special program for its courses of business Chinese, which is meant for learners who would like to get the basic skills of communicating in Chinese and for those who are willing to master the language and use it for contacts with business partners or study the economic situation by Chinese sources.

 

 

Natalia G.Pecheritsa, the Director of the Chinese Teaching and Research Center started her speech by citing Chinese wisdom which focuses on the necessity of education for prosperity of any country: ‘If you want to plan your life for a year – sow seeds, for a decade – plant a tree, for a century – educate a new generation’. She pointed out that during the last five years a lot has been done to set up and develop the Chinese Center. More than a thousand learners have been trained during these years. Regular training sessions are conducted in Beijing, Hong Kong and Singapore. Officials of the Chinese Embassy in Russia underlined that MIRBIS Chinese Center is developing very fast, it established business contacts not only in Moscow but in China as well. Honourable guests arrived at the celebration to greet MIRBIS Chinese Center, First Secretary for Education of the Chinese Embassy in Russia, Mr Van Tsinda, Minister Plenipotentiary for Educational Issues of the Chinese Embassy in Russia Mrs Pei Yuifan. MIRBIS teachers of the Chinese language, employees of other divisions, students took part in the event.
