MIRBIS and the University of London international programme

According to the agreement, since 2010 the MIRBIS Institute enforces education, based on the Russian Federation programme of higher business education, for the Bachelor Degree in management, and education, based on Bachelor of international business British programme of the University of London.

The programme characteristics:

• Two diplomas: state RF diploma “Bachelor of management”, offering the Bachelor degree, and BA IBA diploma of the University of London in International Business Management
• a European Supplement to the RF diploma
•  Language of the programme – English. Education is in English starting with the second academic year. During the first year some courses are delivered in English
•  Compulsory learning of a second and a third foreign languages
•  Intensive practical studies through each day
•  Assessment of knowledge and skills according to Russian and international standards
•  Internships in international and Russian companies
•  Advantages in entering master programmes in British universities of the MIRBIS consortium of British universities
• After graduation MIRBIS – Career Center guidance in employment in international and Russian companies in global business sphere.

The programme is addressed to those, whose English language level corresponds to the programme of specialized schools with advanced study of English, and applicants, who have skills and abilities in English, which correspond to the programme of language schools. Entrance interview in English.

Tuition fee – 350 000 rubles.

The price includes:

1. Students’ education according to the state Bachelor of management programme in MIRBIS
2. Parallel studies in the University of London BA International Business Administration
3. Teaching courses by professors of the UoL (Royal Holloway University of the UoL)
4. Intensive study of English for the international IELTS examination in English during the first year
5. Learning a second foreign language from the second academic year and of a third language from the third one (including Chinese, Japanese, Arabic with native speakers)
6. Compulsory internship in the UoL after the third year (two weeks), (accommodation and travel fare are included into the tuition fee)
7. The studying process, accompanied by a tutor of the University of London and a supervising professor of the MIRBIS Institute
8. Training for exams for the Bachelor in the UoL
9. The format of a “full academic day” of study and self-training during the first two forms
10.  Public presentation of research works in front of the international exam commission of the UoL in English and in front of the state examination board of MIRBIS in Russian

After the first year at the MIRBIS Institute the students, who successfully pass the international IELTS exam in English (with a grade not lower than 6,0) are enrolled to the first year of the external Bachelor programme of the University of London. The Bachelor programme lasts three years in the University of London, at the MIRBIS Institute, according to the Russian State Standard, the study duration is four years. At MIRBIS students continue studying according to the state programme of Bachelor of Management, which has the State accreditation of the Russian Federation and the highest international accreditation EPAS of the European association for management development.

To enter the University of London you should look through the University booklet and apply on-line. There is a special form of completion and periods of enrolment for each programme. Not to miss these periods you should register as early as possible.

Choose your own study schedule

Those who choose Bachelor programmes have a lot of schedule options flexible. You can study on your own, being responsible for developing your own educational programme, which would be most convenient for you. You get course materials, elaborated and written by professors-experts. Most Bachelor programmes have an access to online educational resources. Pay attention to the fact that you should buy manuals to the programme.

Students’ support

A lot of students prefer to pay for additional consulting, which they can get in the regional center of the University of London in their country and then have an opportunity to have some courses full-time. The University of London has more than 200 private educational institutions in 45 countries, that help our students individually. This help presupposes organizing classes in the regional center in the afternoon or in the evening, consulting this or that matter, online discussion of some themes. Time, needed for study

When your schedule is developed, you have an opportunity to choose your own pace of studies. In the University of London you may study Bachelor programmes from 3 to 8 years. To complete the programme in 3 years you should study 20 hours a week.
Requirements to applicants
Those who enter Bachelor programmes should have secondary education with at least 3 excellent marks and their equivalents. We accept students from different countries with marks, which are equivalent to the British scale.

Academic format

1. Entering the MIRBIS Institute for Bachelor management programme – July
2. Passing selection tests in English for defining the level and distribution in groups for training for IELTS – the first week of September
3. Study according to the programme  of the first year of  MIRBIS Bachelor and intensive training (10-12 hours a week) in English according to the programme  IELTS – the first semester
4. Drawing up documents for entering the Bachelor programme of the University of London – till April 1. Relative enrolment to the programme of simultaneous study into the University of London – April
5. Taking the IELTS exam in the examination center of Cambridge University in Moscow – April. Getting results – the beginning of May. A second taking the exam if necessary – the end of May
6. Taking examinations according to the Bachelor programme of the MIRBIS Institution , including two exams in English – June
7. Presentation of results of the examinations of the first course and the IELTS exam in English for scrutinying of applications for entering the external programme of parallel education, according to the international business Bachelor programme – till June 30
8. Enrolment to the external programme of the UL with parallel study at MIRBIS – till September 1
9. The beginning of study according to the programme of the UL – September 15
