Research activity

 The principle objective of the Center is to provide high-quality educational services rendered by MIRBIS as a result of melding the teaching process and research work. The Center aims at implementing research and advisory projects for Russian and foreign companies, state bodies of the Russian Federation and its entities, international organizations.

In 1993 MIRBIS was selected by the UN commission as a co-author of the RF report in the International annual journal ‘Competitiveness of Countries with Market Economy’ published by the Institute of Management Development, IMD (Lausanne, Switzerland) and the World Economic Forum (Geneva, Switzerland). So far MIRBIS has been the only permanent co-author of the RF report.

The Center also conducts ordered research. MIRBIS employees on order of the insurance company ‘Gefest’ completed wide-scale scientific research ‘Insurance risks in transport construction’, as well as the research on order of ‘Soyuzdorproject’ – ‘Substantiation of investment in the construction of paid motorways’. MIRBIS completed the research for the public company ‘ISTOK” (Orenburg region) – ‘Market of mineral water ‘Stepnaya Celebnaya’. At present the joint research of national peculiarities of business culture is being conducted in cooperation with the Economic faculty of Ljubljana University (Slovenia).

The Research Center takes part in editing and publishing work, holds scientific and practical conferences, coordinates research of MIRBIS faculty, organizes students’ research.
