University of London external degree programmes in MIRBIS.
On 7 December an Agreement was signed between Institute MIRBIS, BRIM – British-Russian Institute of Management - and the University of London on launching a Regional Center of the University of London External programmes for the UL degrees of BSc in Business Administration, Master in BA and MBA. These are the programmes of parallel studies with a prospect of obtaining two degrees – a state Russian degree and the University of London relevant degree for those who will cope with the requirements and the curriculum. The coordination of studies is vested with the authorized regional center – BRIM at MIRBIS. The opportunities are open not only for MIRBIS students of the relevant programmes but for students of other Moscow and regional higher schools. On 10 december a meeting took place in MIRBIS with the Vice-President for International Relations of Paris-Dauphine University prof. Arnaud Raynourd and Director of DEMBA doctor Emmanuel Monod/ Dr Monod is the head of several post-graduate programmes addressed to post-experience top executives. The programme EDBA is run jointly by Paris-Dauphine University and the Georgia State University, Atlanta (USA), and the Shanghai University (China). The colleagues from Paris-Dauphine University turned to MIRBIS with a proposal to join the project of the Global EDBA (Executive Doctorate in Business Administration) http://www.edba.fr– the idea was initiated by the Chinese partner, as they want their students – top executives of big corporations, civil servants of the highest level and state political figures – to study in four sites – in the USA, in Europe (France), in Russia (MIRBIS) and then – in China.
That was why the French colleagues turned to the MIRBIS International department with an idea to explore launching this programme simultaneously in 4 sites. Currently there are 25 students in the USA, 22 – in China, 27 – in France, now it is the turn on MIRBIS. The studies are focused on management research in various areas of business which are necessary for making strategic decisions. The target group are top and strategic level Executives of national and international companies, as well as civil servants an top politicians. The format – one week-end a month during three years – is implemented jointly by the American, British (London School of Economics), French and Russian (MIRBIS) faculty.
