Institute MIRBIS hosted a group of students from the University of San Francisco
On July 12-16, 2010 Institute MIRBIS hosted a group of MBA students from the University of San Francisco , the topic of the course was “Strategies of International Business in a Russian Context”. This course was a joint project of MIRBIS and Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Finland). During the course a group of 10 students and 2 lecturers from the University of San Francisco visited Finland, Estonia and Russia.
During their stay in Moscow the participants of the study visit had a set of lectures by the leading MIRBIS lecturers concerning the specifics of Russian business, condition and perspectives of Russian politics and economy, and got acquainted with the culture of our country. Apart from lectures and workshops MIRBIS arranged 2 company visits – the students visited the company ‘Ernst & Young’, which is an absolute international leader in audit, taxing and business consulting, and ‘Barclays Bank’ , where the group had a unique opportunity to have a conversation directly with the CEO.
As for the cultural part of the program the students visited the Cosmonautics Museum, the famous Moscow Circus and the ballet ‘Swan Lake’ about which the group got the very brightest memories.
