Adilbek R. Dzhaksybekov

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Of Republic Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation

Dzhaksybekov Adilbek Ryskeldinovich was born on July 26, 1954 in the village Burdi, Karabalyksky district, Kustanaysky region.
In 1982 he graduated from the Economic Department of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (Moscow). In 1987 he took a PhD research course in Procurement Management at the Moscow Plekhanov Institute of National Economy and got a Ph.D. in Economics.
A.R. Dzhaksybekov worked in the film industry of Kazakh SSR, in the system of material and technical supply, was the director of a number of enterprises. From 1988 to 1995 he headed a multi-industry corporation “Tsesna”.
In 1995 A.R. Dzhaksybekov was elected a member of the Parliament Senate of the Republic Kazakhstan. In 1996 he was appointed the First Deputy-Akim of Akmolinsk district.
On December 10, 1997 by a President’s decree A.R. Dzhaksybekov was appointed the first Akim (Mayor) of the  new capital of the state – Astana.
From June, 2003 to December, 2004 he worked as the Minister of Trade and Industry of Republic Kazakhstan. From December, 2004 – as the Head of President’s Administration of Republic Kazakhstan. From January 23 to October 13, 2008 – Adilbek Ryskeldinovich was the first Deputy-Chairman of People Democratic Party “Nur Otan”,  an advisor of President of Republic Kazakhstan.
On November 11, 2008 by the decree of President of Republic Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbaev he was appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Republic Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation.
On February 27, 2009 in the Aleksandrovsky Hall of the Moscow Kremlin A.R. Dzhaksybekov presented credentials to President of the Russian Federation D.A. Medvedev.
A.R. Dzhaksybekov is a winner of the State Prize of Republic Kazakhstan (2008) in the field of literature and arts for the development and construction of the architectural ensemble “Round Square” in the new administrative center of Astana.
Adilbek Ryskeldinovich is the President of the Football Federation of Republic Kazakhstan.
A.R. Dzhaksybekov is awarded with the orders of Kazakhstan Republic, “Barys” of third degree, “Yaroslav Mudry” of third degree (Ukraine) and many medals.
He is the author of the books “To light a star-capital”, “How Astana started. Notes of the first akim of the capital”.
Adilbek Ryskeldinovich is married and has a son.
