Yuri A. Drobyshev

Yury Drobyshev – Rector of the Kaluga State Pedagogical University named after K.E. Tsiolkovsky, professor, PhD (Pedagogical sciences), RF Honorary worker in the field of the higher professional education, standing member of the Academy of Education Informatization, corresponding member of the International Academy of Higher School Sciences and the International Pedagogical Academy.
Prof. Drobyshev was born on June 24, 1955 in Abakan. In 1976 he graduated from the Department of physics and mathematics of the Abakan State Pedagogical University. Later he worked at the Chair of the higher mathematics of the Abakan branch of Krasnoyarsk Polytechnic Institute. 

In 1990 his carrier started in the Kaluga State Pedagogical University named after K.E. Tsiolkovsky where he worked as an assistant, senior lecture, associated professor, professor, Head of the Chair of elementary education methods, Head of the Chair of geometry and mathematic methods. In 1991 he defended a PhD dissertation, in 1994 was nominated as an associated professor, and in 2004 he received title of Professor. In 2004Yury Drobyshev was elected the Rector of the University.
The main fields of prof. Drobyshev’s academic activities are teaching methods and pedagogy in mathematics. He is the author of more than 100 academic works and manuals such as school text-books and manuals for universities approved by the RF Ministry of Education and Science. Yury Drobyshev is the editor-in-chief of 12 academic and methodological collections of works. 
Prof. Drobyshev has been conferred a number of Federal and Regional awards.
