The Institute participates in implementation of the state plan for training managerial personnel for national economy of Russia, for instance it is involved in the consortiums with the Kaluga State Technical University and Orel State Pedagogical University.

MIRBIS provides re-training of resigned military men and members of their families, unemployed dwellers of Moscow and Moscow region under the program ‘Demilitarization. Education. Collaboration. MIRBIS participates in vocational training of unemployed residents with further employment. Since 1996 more than 3,500 people have been re-trained, including 2,400 military men and members of their families among them those who were badly wounded and injured during the anti-terrorist operation in the North Caucasus and more than 1,000 unemployed and disabled people. Within the frames of the Regional public organization of officers – graduates of the program ‘            ‘ MIRBIS provides assistance in employment.

MIRBIS takes part in charity programs and training of military men who undergo treatment in the central military hospital of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the central Burdenko military hospital, the central military resort ‘Arkhangelskoye’. MIRBIS arranged sponsor concerts for participants of anti-terrorist operations who undergo treatment in the central Vishnevsky military hospital in the city of Krasnogorsk and in the central Navy hospital in the city of Kupavna.

Aslanbek A.Aslakhanov, the advisor of the President of the Russian Federation was present at the ceremony of handing-in MIRBIS diplomas to military men who were badly wounded and injured during the anti-terrorist operation in the North Caucasus and are undergoing treatment in the central military hospital of the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Under the long-term contract with the Central testing spaceship launching site Baikonur MIRBIS provides vocational re-training of military men and members of their families.

When coastal units of the Baltic Navy were restructured the Institute organized training of military men of the 1st Moscow-Minsk Motorized Division of the Baltic Navy (the city of Kaliningrad). In December 2002 the Chief Educational Department of the Armed Forces and MIRBIS Institute signed an agreement on combining their efforts within the frames of the state program ‘Social Adaptation of Military Men to be Resigned from the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, other military units and bodies and members of their families’ which was approved by resolution N 729 of the Russian Government dated 21.10.2001.

Since 2002 MIRBIS has been cooperating with the Moscow Fund of Staff Training within the frames of inter-sectoral staff training for market economy of Moscow. More than 1,500 people have been trained under this program.

In 2004 MIRBIS Institute completed training of military men of nuclear submarine squadron of the North Navy and members of their families.
